SERVE
Come join our team in making an impact in local communities by serving in the HEART Ministry. You will be a part of something bigger than yourself and assist in good works within our community.
“Volunteers don’t necessarily have the time, they just have the HEART.” – Elizabeth Andrew
Serving Opportunities
Administrative
Detail orientated individuals are needed to assist with writing, data entry, scheduling projects, volunteer sign-ups, light bookkeeping, compliance data, setting pricing for items distributed to other nonprofits, etc.
Warehouse Team
Organize and prepare donated materials for shipment to natural disaster areas or local home repairs. Help is also needed to repair bikes and donated items that have been damaged.
Local Construction
A small dedicated group of skilled tradespeople and unskilled volunteers who have a passion to help people who don't have the financial means to repair their homes (local widows, single moms, people experiencing chronic illness, or who are in financial distress).
Prayer Team
HEART's Prayer Team volunteers are just ordinary individuals who have come to experience the joy of sharing the love of Jesus with others outside the walls of the church. It may be in homes, businesses, outreaches, ministry trips or community give away nights. We also serve at the Fountains, Hosanna's senior living community.
Sign up under our Prayer Team.
Drivers & Helpers
Drive or ride along as a helper in the HEART box truck to pick up a variety of donations from local businesses and bring them back to the warehouse. Help to load and unload donations using a pallet jack. Some lifting may be required (25-50 lbs.) See specific role descriptions and requirements in the signup.
Community Giveaways
HEART opens the warehouse to those in need who have pre-qualified for a voucher on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Bless our guests by assisting them while they gather needed items, help with set up and clean up, or be on the prayer team.
Impact Trips/
Disaster Relief
HEART provides disaster relief through the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area and nationally for those impacted by a natural disaster. We are able to quickly mobilize volunteers to assist with storm cleanup, repair damaged homes, sandbag flood threatened homes and businesses, and whatever the need may be.
Locally, we cook and serve meals to first responders and volunteers, and local community members impacted by the disaster. We also supply cleanup and construction materials, and provide emotional support.
Serving the
Community
The Special Events Team partners with churches, law enforcement, local businesses, etc., to serve the community by organizing picnic type events where volunteers serve community members free meals. These events allow at risk populations to connect with local support networks and enhance community relationships. Contact us on how you can get involved.
Heartland Outlet
Heartland Outlet is our discount store that was started in order to support HEART. It is primarily volunteer run. Friendly people are needed to cashier, assist customers throughout the store or help to load vehicles, sort, price, and stock merchandise, or assemble/fix/test items such as furniture, small engines, or tools. Visit the Heartland Outlet to learn more about the store.
