Shakopee Community Award

Updated: Feb 17, 2022

On Thursday, January 20th, 2022, we received a huge honor and recognition from the community. The Shakopee Chamber of Commerce had their annual meeting at Canterbury Park and they awarded Hosanna Shakopee and the HEART Response Team the Community Award for 2021! This is given in recognition for our dedicated commitment and service to our community. Some of the ways we have served the Shakopee community include: Christmas Giveaways, Donation Food Drops, Good 360 Toys for Tots Giveaway at Bonnevista Terrace, we also collaborated with other organizations to put on Picnic with the Police, and participated in and were sponsors for Rhythm on the Rails and Holiday Fest 2021.

We genuinely love our city and want to see this community be a place where everyone flourishes. Our heart has been to serve and “do good in our ‘hood,” never for recognition. One of the most encouraging things during the ceremony was that one prominent city leader said to us, “I was just bragging about you guys to somebody. You guys actually walk the walk.” It truly is all grace and it’s humbling to be a part of what God is doing to make this community look and feel more like heaven (Matt 6:10).

Amazing things are happening in this community and we are “here for such a time as this” (Est. 4:14). Let’s keep living out our vision to “multiply the hope and heartbeat of Jesus through irresistible love, generosity and unity” in 2022!

We want to express a sincere thanks and appreciation to our donors, volunteers, and everyone who shows up every day to make HEART what it is today. What an honor it is to serve in our community!
